The illuminated skyline and surreal clouds afar contrast with the wooden stakes, which resemble blown-out candles, frozen in time. The melted iceberg stands testament to their struggle, having absorbed the last vestiges of flame in a bid for escape or a plea for help. Now, with the smoke dissipated and the flames extinguished, all that remains are the charred stakes and extinguished candles.
